Our Association

The Eureka USBC Association is a proud local chapter of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), serving the bowling community in Eureka, Montana. Dedicated to promoting the sport of bowling, the association provides structure, support, and opportunities for bowlers of all ages and skill levels.

As part of the national USBC network, the Eureka Association ensures that local leagues and tournaments adhere to standardized rules and regulations, fostering fair play and competitive integrity.     Lance Pluid

    Hi, I am Lance Pluid. I grew up in Eureka, MT. I am the association President. I graduated from Lincoln County High School in 2003. I love helping my family out when I can. I enjoy watching sports live and on tv.  I work at the local school as a kitchen aide. I have been bowling for at least 20 years. My average is in the 150 and higher range. I enjoy bowling because it gets me out and I enjoy the people I bowl with. I would like to see bowling grow.

    I took over the reins as our Association Manager in the 2023/24 season. Whoa what an experience.  I am father of 3 and married to my best friend in the world! I started bowling youth league when I was 10/11 years old in Kalispell. Off an on throughout the years I've always maintained a connection to bowling. My goal is to foster an association that is fun, engaging, evlolving and growing! We hope that you will join us!

    Nick Van Orden

    I am a father of four who has been around the sport of bowling his whole life. Growing up in Utah, his family owned a bowling alley where he spent countless hours and worked for several years, building both skill and a lasting love for the game. Now living in Eureka, MT, Nick enjoys bowling in the local mixed league and makes time to attend tournaments whenever his busy family schedule allows. When he’s not on the lanes, Nick can usually be found cheering on his kids in their many sports and activities.

    I work part time at Indian Springs Resort and am an owner of Bakkila Plumbing and Heating with my husband Veikko. I have been bowling league for 18 years and for the past 7+ years as the secretary/treasurer of the Tuesday Night Women's League. I joined the board as a Director in 2024.
